Matt left today for Minnesota. Jonah and I are missing him very much. I have been getting lucky and missing his dirty diapers since he started cereal. Now with Matt gone I changed the first one. I am really going to miss the all breast milk diapers. I'll be looking forward to potty training. I'll update more later. I need to do homework when Jonah allows. Enjoy the pictures of my little angel.

Teeth!

Jonah was chewing on my finger this morning and I felt something sharp. His two bottom teeth have come in! I can't tell if they've poked all the way through because he sticks his tongue over them but they're definitely there. He has not been his usual happy self. As I typed that he was sitting on my lap laughing. So I'll say has just had more fussy moments than usual. The iron in his cereal is also affecting him so he's been a little constipated too. I am actually looking forward to work tomorrow because it is a little break. Although I prefer the break not be 12 hours. Matt will be watching him tomorrow. Jonah is no longer entertained by my typing so I'll wrap this up. I had a hard time getting a clear picture because he kept reaching for the camera. You can kind of see them.

End of interviews!

Matt just called after his last interview! He'll be flying home from North Carolina tonight. We've missed him so much lately. I guess it was a little preview of what it will be like when he leaves for a month in February. I'm going to have to empty the diaper pail and take out the trash! Those are things Matt always does. When he gets home we're going to talk about how he will rank the places he interviewed. He really liked Duke so who knows where we'll end up.
My posts have been short lately because Jonah is a busy boy. We're into a good groove right now with this eating and sleeping during the day. He's taking a nap right now. He has been napping for up to 3 hours in the afternoon. I try to keep him awake in the evening so he'll sleep better at night but he still wakes up at 3 am to nurse. I don't think he is hungry but wakes up and wants to nurse to fall back asleep. He is turning over like crazy. It is easier for him to get from his back to his stomach than his stomach to his back so he is having a lot more tummy time lately. He is not crawling but moves around to the point that he comes off his blanket. I think we'll have to get an area rug in order for him to have any traction to crawl. The hardwood floor and the blanket on the hardwood make it impossible. He is showing more and more interest in the dogs. Mostly Caleb because he always greets him with a kiss and Jonah smiles. He reaches his hands out to try to grab them but he is just not fast enough...yet. The dogs better watch out because he'll soon be mobile!

First meal!

Jonah had cereal for the first time today. He loved it! Tomorrow he'll have cereal twice. We'll start food at six months and I don't think he'll be a very picky eater.

Jonah and I have spent the last two days just hanging out and playing. We've really been missing Matt. He arrived home from Seattle this morning and was only home for 30 minutes before he had to leave for Cleveland. He'll be back tomorrow night and then Thursday morning all three of us will leave for Minnesota. I'm looking forward to spending time with Matt on the way up. Jonah has been his usual happy self. He spends much of his day "singing" to his toys and loves when I sing to him (obviously that will change one day). He wants to be mobile but isn't quite there except for rolling. He wants to sit and stand up. So he is loving spending time in his jumperoo.
It was time for the dogs yearly vet visit. Jonah and I took them to separate appointments because I couldn't handle both of them and Jonah at once. JoJo did great. She is our problem free dog. Caleb is on antibiotics for a skin infection. He had gained some weight and was 52 lbs! They did a CBC but I didn't hear anything about the results today. He didn't receive any of his vaccinations because the vet didn't want to trigger his condition. We love our vet and are going to be sad to leave her.
I can't think about anything else that has been going on here. I am looking forward to the weather warming up so Jonah and I can get out a little more.

My two boys are so tired. Jonah had an exhausting day playing with new toys from Christmas and Matt is tired from two days of interviews and driving.

Trying to blend in at Grandma and Grandpa Plunk's house.

Jonah trying out his big boy stroller. Still a bit too big.

It has been a while since I've posted because we haven't been home in almost a week! I've been working and we had Christmas was my dad on Saturday. Matt left yesterday for interviews in Wisconsin and will be back tomorrow night. Jonah and I just arrived home today. I'm taking advantage of the fact that he is still sleeping in his carseat and getting a quick post done. The last week he has had his 4 month immunizations, weighed 15 lbs 1 oz, started playing with his feet, and has a patch of ringworm on his arm. Last week was my last week of working full time. My semester starts next week and I'm looking forward to spending time with Jonah at home.
