Happy Halloween!

Jonah visited his Grandmas for Halloween. Because we have to spend 3 hours in the car we just made two stops. Enjoy the pictures. Could they be a look into the future?

Caleb or Snoopy?

I haven't given any updates on the dogs lately so I thought I would share a picture. Caleb's latest CBC was almost normal which made his vet very happy. We'll wean his steroids at the next refill. Jo is her happy self spending time with Piggy. Although she is always willing to drop her to take anything Caleb is showing interest in. They're both good with Jonah. Caleb has discovered that Jonah is a messy eater so his cheeks are sweet from milk. We have to remind him when his kisses are becoming inappropriate.

Shots are no fun!

Jonah visited the doctor yesterday for his 2 month immunizations. He weighed 12 lbs 2 oz!!! He has gained over 5 lbs since birth! His doctor was very happy with how he was doing. The shots upset him and he's been fussy and feverish since. Matt has also been feeling under the weather this week. He is feeling better today though so we plan to take Jonah trick-or-treating. I'll post pictures of Halloween soon.

It is hard to believe how quickly these last 9 weeks has gone. We are still pinching ourselves and talk about how we can't believe we have a baby. I'll be working two days this week so Jonah will get to spend some time charming his Aunt Megan and Grandma Plunk. We took him to church for the first time this weekend. He looked around at all the people for a bit and then fell asleep. He has become so vocal! Today Matt called home to check on him and Jonah "talked" to him on the phone.

We're having tons of fun with Jonah. He is smiling and cooing more and more everyday. He is also figuring out how to use his hands to grab toys. He is so much fun!

1st day of work!

I've just arrived home after my first day back to work. I'm not officially back for 4 more weeks but I am picking up a few days to ease back into things. I was away from Jonah for 16 hours! Matt says Jonah spent most of the day sleeping so that probably means I'll be up with him tonight. My first day went well but I am very tired. It has been 2 months since I spent 12 hours on my feet. I am going to go get some snuggle time in with my little guy.

It has been a long time since we've posted new pictures. Jonah has been keeping us busy. He attended his first wedding and birthday party over the weekend. He smiles more everyday and is still trying to master cooing. He has grown out of his newborn clothes and even fits into some 3 month clothes. He is becoming such a big boy!

Jonah is growing and changing everyday. He is spending more time awake and attentive. He's had some big smiles. He is working on making noise but doesn't quite have it down. His mouth moves like he's talking but no sound comes out. I had an appointment yesterday so we visited with the girls in the NICU and met Laura & Matt's new addition. Jonah looks so big next to a newborn. I'll go back to work in two weeks. I'll start with just one shift a week until November when I'll be full time again. I don't want to leave Jonah but I'm ready to get back to work. I'm really hoping Jonah will start sleeping at night before then.
Jonah, mom, Heather, Torey, Taylor and I went to the Apple n' pork festival last weekend. It was hot and I was eaten alive by little black bugs that were apparently biting everyone in central Illinois last weekend. We'll have a busy weekend as we have a wedding and a birthday party to attend. Jonah is looking forward to meeting more family.
