1 month checkup

Our little boy is getting so big!

Jonah visited the pediatrician today weighed a whopping 9 lbs 11 oz! He'll go back in another month for all his shots. I remember taking Caleb to get shots when he was a puppy and I wanted to pick him up and run away. Even though I give babies shots at work, it will be hard to watch my own baby get them.


Jonah and I attended the annual NICU reunion over the weekend. It was great to see our little graduates and their parents. It is crazy to see some of them walking!

Is anyone else excited about new episodes of your favorite shows?! I watch a lot of tv while I'm feeding Jonah and I'm really tired of nothing good to watch.

Jonah is spending more time awake now. He is awake most of the morning, sleeps in the afternoon and then has another awake period usually 6 pm to 12 am before sleeping until morning. He gets excited and moves his arms and legs a lot and makes faces when you talk to him. (As the picture illustrates)

Jonah's Labor Day Weekend

Tummy time did not last long. Jonah in his bouncer for the first time.

We had a fun few days visiting with family over the weekend. We celebrated my birthday Sunday with brownies and cookies made by Joan and then Jonah visited his Grandma Piatt on Monday for her birthday. He met his Great Aunt Brenda and second cousin Britney. Today I had my two week post-op appointment. They released me to drive and I think Matt is happy to stop chauffeuring me around. We dropped in at the breastfeeding clinic to have Jonah weighed and he weighed in at a whopping 7 lbs 12 ozs! We also stopped by the NICU to say hello to the girls. We're back at home now.
